The Inaugural Performance
Featuring: The Gift Of The Magi and Verdigris Ensemble.
November 19th, 8pm
November 20th, 8pm
November 21st, 2pm
Be the first to see Pegasus Contemporary Ballet spread its wings and take flight! We are thrilled to present our first program the weekend before Thanksgiving at Arts Mission Oak Cliff.
Kick off the Holiday Season with The Gift of the Magi, a new work inspired by the classic short story by O Henry, choreographed by Artistic Director Diana Crowder with a commissioned original score by Dallas musician Martin Morgan.
Pegasus Contemporary Ballet and Verdigris Ensemble are joining forces for an exquisite presentation of live choral music and dance. Verdigris Ensemble will perform four original compositions from the winners of the 2019 and 2021 ION composer competition. ION strives to identify and support creative DFW students and residents through the art of choral music, and we are pleased to present works that did not get the opportunity for performance exposure due to the Pandemic. These compositions will be performed with world premiere choreography by Artistic Associate Carolyn Ruth Trumbo, bringing innovative choral music and dance together in the intimate setting of the beautiful performance hall at Arts Mission Oak Cliff.

Join us for a one night only event unlike any other. Pegasus Contemporary Ballet is collaborating with the renowned Samuel Lynne Galleries and artist JD Miller to present a site-specific and engaging evening of performance; bringing dance, music, and paint together in a never before seen way.
Enjoy a glass of wine and browse the current exhibitions as an evening long dance performance pops up throughout the gallery. We are pleased to bring Bruce McCormick to Dallas for the first time as a visiting choreographer to create this collaborative work with costumes painted by JD Miller. This unique experience will present dancers shrouded in artwork while simultaneously dancing amongst the artwork in the gallery.
