2026/27 Performances

Overgrowth
November 6–7, 2026 | Dallas Contemporary
Choreographer Elliott Ludovic with composer Sam Brukhman create Overgrowth, a new site-specific performance bringing contemporary dance, electronic music, and visual art into dialogue at the Dallas Contemporary.
Inspired by internationally acclaimed artist Iván Argote’s solo exhibition, How to Move a Monument on a Tuesday Morning, the work responds to ideas of history, memory, monuments, and transformation. As the performance moves between the exhibition and an intimate performance setting, audiences experience choreography, live music, and visual art coalesce in real time.
Brukhman, best known as the founder and Artistic Director of Verdigris Ensemble, steps into a different creative role under the name BRKHMN with an original electronic score performed live, with sections that adapt to the dancers’ performance on the spot.
Bold, intimate, and thrillingly collaborative, Overgrowth brings audiences into the kind of boundary-crossing performance that defines Pegasus Contemporary Ballet.
Overgrowth performances are intimate and limited in capacity. We are offering four showtimes:
Friday, Nov. 6 at 8:00 pm – Opening night
Saturday, Nov. 7 at 2:00 pm – Matinee
Saturday, Nov. 7 at 7:00 pm – Evening Performance
Saturday, Nov. 7 at 9:00 pm – Late Night Performance
Special thank you to the Dallas Contemporary for their sponsorship of this production.

Words For A Resonant Space
April 2–3, 2027 | Kalita Humphreys Theater
The questions artists rarely reveal onstage.
Pegasus Contemporary Ballet revisits one of its most distinctive productions with Words For A Resonant Space, created by Diana Crowder, Aaron Glover, and poet Lisa Huffaker. Blending contemporary ballet, poetry, theater, and music, the work offers a candid, raw, and sometimes humorous look at the beauty, doubt, sacrifice, and persistence that shape our ambitions.
Six dancers and the Poet take the audience on a journey told through dialogue, poetry, dance, and music. The narrative arc is anchored in Huffaker’s poems, which are brought into motion through choreography, while the dancers’ own voices help shape the story unfolding onstage.
Huffaker returns as the Poet alongside a largely new cast, bringing fresh voices and perspectives into a work shaped by the experiences of the people performing it. Originally created in 2024, Words For A Resonant Space returns to the Kalita Humphreys Theater with its original creative team, reopened and refined through the lens of three more years of artistic and personal growth.
Intimate, witty, and deeply human, Words For A Resonant Space invites audiences inside the creative process and into a story about why we keep trying, even when the outcome is uncertain.
2024 Audiences raved about the show:
“This felt so raw, intimate, and honest. I thoroughly enjoyed it!”
“Awesome performance. Highest quality and unique. Dallas has a gem with this company.”
“Loved the show! Beautifully created, beautifully performed!”
“[Pegasus] puts on some of the most creative dance performances I’ve ever seen”
“Enlightening and stimulating both intellectually and viscerally. Bravo!”
“This was a wonderful, inspiring experience!”
